背景信息	Receptor-interacting serine/threonine-protein kinase 2 (RIPK2), also known as CARD-containing interleukin-1 beta-converting enzyme-associated kinase (CARDIAK), RIP-like-interacting CLARP kinase, Receptor-interacting protein 2 (RIP-2), and Tyrosine-protein kinase RIPK2, is a member of the TKL Ser/Thr family. RIPK2 is a serine/threonine/tyrosine kinase that has been shown to play an important role in modulation of innate and adaptive immune responses. Studies have indicated that RIPK2 may play an essential role in immune response, growth control, and apoptosis. It is also suggested to play a role during engagement of the T-cell receptor (TCR) in promoting BCL10 phosphorylation and subsequent NF-kappa-B activation. RIPK2 interacts with members of the TRAF family, CLARP and caspase-1 and is implied to regulate TNF and Fas induced-apoptosis, which is involved in the generation of proinflammatory cytokine IL-1beta. RIPK2 is expressed in heart, brain, placenta, lung, peripheral blood leukocytes, spleen, kidney, testis, prostate, pancreas and lymph node.
