背景信息 FK506 binding protein 51 (FKBP5) is a ubiquitous immunophilin, which has been implicated in multiple mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder, through its regulation of multiple enzymes, transcription factors, and other signaling molecules. FKBP5 is also a well known co-chaperone of the Hsp90 protein, which regulates the signaling of the glucocorticoid receptor (GR), by a negative feedback mechanism. The expression of FKBP5 increases with rising glucocorticoid levels, and FKBP5 in turn decreases GR signaling by promoting nuclear translocation of GR isoforms. Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance.
