背景信息 TNF receptor-associated factor 1 (TRAF1), also known as Epstein-Barr virus-induced protein 6 (EBI6), is an adapter protein belonging to the TRAF family. It contains the conserved C-terminal TRAF domain that is required for trimerization and interaction with cell surface receptors such as CD30, CD40, OX40, AITR, and RANK. TRAF1 also interacts with a variety of cytoplasmic proteins such as RIP1, RIP2, A20 and TRIP. Among other functions, TRAF1 is involved in regulating NF-kB and JNK signaling. TRAF1 is expressed in the lung, testis, and spleen, and can be induced by TNF-α, interleukin (IL)-1 or EBV infection.
