背景信息 GD2 is expressed on the surfaces of a wide range of tumor cells of neuroectodermal origin, including neuroblastoma, melanomas, and other soft tissue sarcomas. Due to its specific expression on tumor cells, GD2 is an attractive target for immunotherapy. Gangliosides are sialic-acid bearing glycolipids and are likely involved in mediating cell signal transduction events. They are important target antigens for antibody dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) of human melanoma and neuroblastoma cells.
