    背景信息 Plexin B1 is a member of the plexin family of proteins that are receptors for semaphorins, repulsive axon guidance molecules. Plexin B1 binds activated Rac and binds Rho when clustered causing stress fiber development. Plexin B1 may play a part in follicular growth and steroidogenesis in mouse ovaries. It is believed to play a role in trophoblast-endometrium interactions by increasing adhesion properties. Furthermore, Plexin B is thought to effect mouse development and tumor induced angiogenesis although it is excessive and not strictly required. Plexin B1 has also been shown to inhibit ovarian cancer cell movement and invasion when silenced.

    应用说明 Immunohistochemistry Analysis: 1:50 dilution from a representative lot detected Plexin B1 in normal human, normal mouse, and normal rat brain tissues. Weak staining was also observed at 1:250. A dilution between 1-50 and 1-250 would be optimal.

Interaction with SEMA4D promotes binding of cytoplasmic ligands. Binds PLXNA1 (By similarity). Interacts with ARHGEF11, ARHGEF12, ERBB2, MET, MST1R, RRAS, RHOD, RND1, NRP1 and NRP2.

    TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Highly expressed in fetal kidney, and at slightly lower levels in fetal brain, lung and liver.

    PTM: Phosphorylated on tyrosine residues by ERBB2 and MET upon SEMA4D binding.

    Proteolytic processing favors heterodimerization with PLXNB2 and SEMA4D binding.
