背景信息 Cadherins are a family of transmembrane glycoproteins involved in Ca2+-dependent cell-cell adhesion, which play important role in the growth and development of cells via the mechanisms of control of tissue architecture and the maintenance of tissue integrity. The members of the family are differentially expressed in various tissues and function in the maintenance of tissue integrity, morphogenesis, and migration. Cadherins are divided into type I and type II subgroups. Type I cadherins include epithelial cadherin (E-cadherin), neural cadherin (N-cadherin), placental cadherin (P-cadherin) and retinal cadherin (R-cadherin). Type II include kidney cadherin (K-cadherin) and osteoblast cadherin (OB-cadherin). Classical cadherins, which include N-cadherin and E-cadherin, feature a 24-amino acid sequence in the carboxy terminal which is conserved among cadherin family proteins and across animal species; antibodies generated against this sequence are thus termed “pan-cadherin” antibodies, as they detect cadherin proteins in a variety of samples. 产品信息 格式 Affinity Purified 控制 - A431, C2C12, Huvec, NIH/3T3, C6, and Cos-1 cell lysates
