背景信息	Solute carrier family 17 member 9 (SLC17A9) is a vesicular nucleotide transporter (VNUT) involved in the accumulation, transport, and exocytosis of nucleotides such as ATP. Solute carrier family 17 member 9 is predominantly expressed in the brain, and adrenal and thyroid glands; and it plays an important role in various ATP-mediated purinergic responses. Previous studies have shown that disrupted expression of solute carrier family 17 member 9 inhibits ATP release in activated T cells and cultured hippocampal neurons, indicating that solute carrier family 17 member 9 plays a role in immune responses and neurotransmitter signaling.
