背景信息 NLRPs (Nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain, Leucine rich Repeat and Pyrin domain containing Proteins) are members of NLR (Nod-like receptors) protein family. NRLP genes are known to play important roles in both the mammalian reproductive system and the innate immune system. NLRP3 may function as an inducer of apoptosis, activator of NF-kappa-B signaling and activates caspase-1 in response to triggers such as bacterial or viral infection. NLRP3 defects are linked to familial cold autoinflammatory syndrome type 1 (FCAS1), Muckle-Wells syndrome (MWS) and chronic infantile neurologic cutaneous and articular syndrome (CINCA).
