背景信息 The MS2 coat protein of bacteriophage is an RNA-binding protein that assembles in pentameric structures to form the phage's shell. The MS2 coat protein binds to a stem-loop structure in viral RNA and facilitates packaging of these RNA molecules into viral capsids. In addition, it represses synthesis of the viral replicase enzyme.
