背景信息 CXXC finger protein 1 (CFP1) is part of the Setd1A and Setd1B methyltransferase compounds. Research shows that CFP1 also interacts with the cytosine methylation mechanism. CFP1 is necessary for development of mammals and is a key regulator of chromatin structure. Embryonic stem cells that are missing CFP1 are more susceptible to DNA-damaging agents and tend to build up more DNA damage.
