背景信息 Homeobox protein goosecoid (GSC) has been shown to affect neuronal differentiation by slowing down the cell cycle and by up-regulating neurite outgrowth. GSC is thought to be important in the Spemann’s organizer by repressing Xwnt8 and promoting head organizer action. High levels of GSC have been found in human tumors and research has shown that GSC does advance tumor cell malignancy.
