背景信息 LMO-3/Rhombotin-3 is a member of the LMO DNA binding protein family. LMO-3/Rhombotin-3 like its 3 other brother proteins (LMO-1, 2, & 4) are LIM-domain binding proteins that regulate a variety of cell genes in development and organ function. The LMO, for LIM-domain only, proteins appear to regulate gene transcription by functioning as "linker" or "scaffolding" proteins with a remarkable potential to mediate protein-protein interactions.
