背景信息	Bile salt sulfotransferase (SULT2A1), also known as dehydroepiandrosterone sulfotransferase or ST2A1, is a member of the sulfotransferase 1 family. It is found in the liver and adrenal glands, where it catalyzes the addition of a sulfuryl group, possibly donated by the cofactor 3'-phospho-5'-adenylyl sulfate (PAPS), to endogenous bile acids and steroids. SULT2A1 also plays an important role in the metabolism of various xenobiotics and drug compounds.
