背景信息 Stem cell antigen 1 (SCA-1) is a membrane protein belonging to the Ly-6 family of proteins and contains a single UPAR/Ly6 domain. SCA-1 is involved in the activation of T-cells and is thought to have a critical role in the differentiation, proliferation, and survival of a variety of stem cells. Recent studies have indicated SCA-1 to be an ideal marker for the isolation and purification of stem cells for research and further characterization.
