- Western Blotting
应用说明 Western blot: 1:2,000. Recognizes the ~110 kDa protein. Suggested dilution buffer is Tris buffered saline containing 1% Tween 20.
Immunohistochemistry on frozen tissue sections: 1:100 using a fluorescent secondary antibody. Suggested dilution buffer is PBS containing 1% normal goat serum.
Immunoprecipitation: not tested but the antibody is expected to work well.

Entrez基因汇总 Hexokinases phosphorylate glucose to produce glucose-6-phosphate, thus committing glucose to the glycolytic pathway. This gene encodes a ubiquitous form of hexokinase which localizes to the outer membrane of mitochondria. Mutations in this gene have been associated with hemolytic anemia due to hexokinase deficiency. Alternative splicing of this gene results in five transcript variants which encode different isoforms, some of which are tissue-specific. Each isoform has a distinct N-terminus; the remainder of the protein is identical among all the isoforms.
