背景信息 Pancreatic and duodenal homeobox 1, also known as PDX1, and Insulin promoter factor 1 is a human gene. This islet-specific protein activates transcription of the insulin andsomatostatin genes. It is a key regulator of islet peptide hormone expressionn and also plays an essential role in pancreatic development.
