描述 Anti-phospho-HMG-CoA Reductase (Ser872) Antibody 背景信息 HMG-CoA reductase (HMGCR) is the rate-limiting enzyme in cholesterol biosynthesis. HMGCR it is the target for the hypolipidic agents statins. Statins are a class of cholesterol-lowering drugs that act through low density lipoproteins (LDL) to lower cholesterol. Inhibition of HMGCR stimulates the LDL receptors, which results in increased clearance of LDL from the bloodstream and a decrease in blood cholesterol levels. HMG-CoA reductase is also implicated in the regulation of receptors for LDL.
