背景信息 S6 (Ribosomal protein S6, RpS6, 40S ribosomal protein S6) is known to play a role in cell growth and proliferation. It lays downstream of both the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway as a substrate of p70 S6 kinase and the Ras/Erk pathway as a substrate of RSK. S6 is phosphorylated in response to stimulation by growth factors, tumor promoting agents, and mitogens. It is dephosphorylated at growth arrest.
