背景信息	Protein MEMO1, also known as C21orf19-like protein or Hepatitis C virus NS5A-transactivated protein 7 (HCV NS5A-transactivated protein 7) or Mediator of ErbB2-driven cell motility 1 (Mediator of cell motility 1 or Memo-1), and encoded by the gene name MEMO1 or MEMO, may control cell migration by relaying extracellular chemotactic signals to the microtubule cytoskeleton. MEMO1 is an effector of the ErbB2 receptor tyrosine kinase involved in breast carcinoma cell migration. Moreover, MEMO1 interacts with cofilin, a member of the conserved ubiquitously expressed actin-depolymerizing factor (ADF)/cofilin family, which are proteins that control actin dynamics and regulate actin filament turnover.
