    背景信息 Stargazin (STG) is also called Transmembrane AMPAR regulatory protein gamma-2 (TARPGamma2), Voltage-dependent calcium channel gamma-2 subunit and Neuronal voltage-gated calcium channel gamma-2 subunit (CACNG2). Stargazin regulates the trafficking and gating properties of AMPA- selective glutamate receptors (AMPARs). Stargazin promotes their targeting to the cell membrane and synapses and modulates their gating properties by slowing their rates of activation, deactivation and desensitization and by mediating their resensitization. Stargazin is thought to stabilize the calcium channel in an inactivated or closed state. Defects in this protein cause the stargazer (stg) phenotype. STG mice have spike-wave seizures characteristic of absence epilepsy, with accompanying defects in the cerebellum and inner ear.
