背景信息 Dendritic cell-specific ICAM-3-grabbing non-integrin (DC-SIGN) is a C-type lectin and has a high affinity for ICAM3 molecules that plays roles in both cell-cell and host-pathogen interactions. DC-SIGN is a type II membrane protein. It is expressed on dendritic cells and mediates the interaction between dendritic cells and resting T cells. SEQUENCE SIMILARITIES: Contains 1 C-type lectin domain.
CAUTION: In mouse, 5 genes homologous to human CD209/DC-SIGN and CD209L/DC-SIGNR have been identified.
