    背景信息 HIRA protein, also known as TUP1-like enhancer of split protein 1, encoded by the HIRA gene (also named DGCR1, HIR, and TUPLE1) is required for the repression of histone gene transcription and for the formation of senescence associated heterochromatin foci (SAHF) and for the efficient exit from senescence associated cell cycle rest. HIRA also cooperates with another chromatin protein, ASF1A to promote replication-independent chromatin assembly. HIRA seems to be a sort of histone chaperone, particularly with histone H3 and its variants and acts to deposit the histone into chromatin which is then linked to gene activation, repression, and chromatin assembly in diverse cell contexts. EMD-Millipore’s Anti-HIRA rabbit monoclonal antibody has been tested in western blot on 293T, HeLa, and K562 cell lysates and in fluorescent immunocytochemistry on HeLa cells in culture.

    存储条件 Stable for 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt.
    Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance.
