    背景信息 SET domain-containing protein 4 (SETD4) is a 440 amino acid protein that contains one SET domain and is expressed as three isoforms produced by alternative splicing. The gene that encodes SETD4 maps to human chromosome 21. The precise functions of SETD4 are not yet confirmed, but SETD4 alterations have been discovered in breast and colorectal cancers and it is suggested as a target of nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD).
