背景信息 Prostaglandin G/H synthase 2, also known as Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) or PHS II or Prostaglandin H2 synthase 2 (PGH synthase 2 or PGHS-2) or Prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase 2, and encoded by the gene name PTGS2 or COX2, is an inducible dimeric enzyme belonging to prostaglandin G/H synthase family. COX2, similar to COX1, functions to form prostaglandins by catalyzing the synthesis of cyclic endoperoxides from arachidonic acid. COX2 expression is induced by lipopolysaccaride (LPS) and peptoglycan (PGN) and is highly expressed in activated marcophages. It has been implicated as a mediator of inflammation and a possible role in prostanoid signaling in activity-dependent plasticity. 储存和货运信息 存储条件 Stable for 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt.
Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance.
