背景信息	TNF receptor-associated factor 1 is an adapter protein belonging to the TRAF family. It contains the conserved C-terminal TRAF domain that is required for trimerization and interaction with cell surface receptors such as CD30, CD40, OX40, AITR, and RANK. TNF receptor-associated factor 1 also interacts with a variety of cytoplasmic proteins such as RIP1, RIP2, A20 and TRIP. Among other functions, TNF receptor-associated factor 1 is involved in regulating NF-kB and JNK signaling. TNF receptor-associated factor 1 is expressed in the lung, testis, and spleen, and can be induced by TNF-α, interleukin (IL)-1 or EBV infection. Previous studies have suggested that TNF receptor-associated factor 1 may play a role in oncogenesis.
