背景信息 Cytoskeleton-associated protein 4, also known as 63-kDa cytoskeleton-linking membrane protein or Climp-63 or p63, and encoded by the gene CKAP4, is an integral membrane protein that links the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) to microtubules. The binding of CKAP4 is dependent upon its phosphorylation state: dephosphorylated CKAP4 binds microtubules and phosphorylated CKAP4 does not bind microtubules. CKAP4 is localized to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane and plasma membrane; CKAP4 is also found in the cytoplasm and perinuclear regions upon APF stimulation.
