背景信息	CD4 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily which is expressed on the surface of helper T cells, macrophages, monocytes, regulatory T cells (Tregs), and dendritic cells. CD4 binds to MHC class II on the surface of antigen presenting cells and plays an important role both in T cell development and in optimal functioning of mature T cells. CD4 plays an integral role in the immune system, and has been indicated to function as a receptor for HIV infection. Along with CD8 and CD45, CD4 regulates the coupling of the T-cell receptor complex (CD3-TCR) to tyrosine kinase activation and phosphorylation of key substrates such as phospholipase C gamma 1.
