    背景信息 Omentin-1 is a recently discovered adipokine that is highly expressed in the stromal vascular cells of omental fat tissue and subsequently secreted into the blood stream. It is also expressed to a lesser degree in the intestine, lung and heart. Omentin-1 enhances insulin-stimulated (but not basal glucose) uptake in adipocytes. It also increases insulin sensitivity in the transient responses of AKT phosphorylation in fat cells. The serum levels of omentin-1 are lower in obese subjects than lean subjects.
