背景信息	Valosin-containing protein (VCP) is a member of a family that includes putative ATP-binding proteins involved in vesicle transport and fusion, 26S proteasome function, and assembly of peroxisomes. This protein, as a structural protein, is associated with clathrin, and heat-shock protein Hsc70, to form a complex. It has been implicated in a number of cellular events that are regulated during mitosis, including homotypic membrane fusion, spindle pole body function, and ubiquitin-dependent protein degradation.

应用说明	Western Blotting Analysis: 1 µg/mL from a representative lot detected methyl VCP/p97 (Lys315) in 10 µg of A431, C2C12, HEK293, HepG2, HUVEC, Jurkat, L6, mouse brain tissue lysate, NIH/3T3, PC12, PC3, and RAW264.7 cell lysates. Western Blotting Analysis: 2 µg/mL from a representative lot detected methyl VCP/p97 (Lys315) in VCP/p97 lysine methyltransferase wild type liver, kidney, brain, spleen, lung, and MEF cell lysates, and demonstrated a loss of signal in VCP/p97 lysine methyltransferase knock out liver, kidney, brain, spleen, lung, and MEF cell lysates (Prof. P. Falnes and Prof. A. Klugland, University of Oslo.). Immunofluorescence Analysis: A 1:500 dilution from a representative lot detected methyl VCP/p97 (Lys315) in VCP/p97 methyltransferase wild type mouse embryo fibroblasts, and demonstrated a loss of signal in VCP/p97 methyl transferase knock out mouse embryo fibroblasts (Prof. P. Falnes and Prof. A. Klugland, University of Oslo.).
