    背景信息 CLIP-associating protein 2/CLASP2 protein is a critical microtubule/tubulin binding protein important for the stabilization of microtubules and thus CLIP-associating protein 2/CLASP2 is important in cellular structure, cellular division, cell migration, bipolar formation, spindle formation, microtubule structure and nucleation and processes like chromosome alignment during cytokinesis and protein transport in neurons and muscle cells. Interestingly, CLIP-associating protein 2/CLASP2 was initially only found expressed in the brain but has since been found in other tissues including muscle cells where it plays a role in aligning the microtubules for GLUT4 transport to the membrane following insulin stimulation, for instance.

    特异性 This antibody detects CLIP-associating protein 2/CLASP2, which localizes to microtubule plus ends and localizes to centrosomes, kinetochores and the mitotic spindle during pro-metaphase. During anaphase, CLIP-associating protein 2/CLASP2 localizes to the spindle midzone and to the midbody during telophase. In migrating cells, CLIP-associating protein 2/CLASP2 localizes to the plus ends of microtubules within the cell body and to the entire microtubule lattice within the lamella.
