背景信息 Serine/threonine-protein kinase PAK 4 (PAK4) is also called p21-activated kinase 4 (PAK-4). PAK4 is a serine/threonine protein kinase involved in several different signaling pathways including cytoskeleton regulation, cell migration, growth, proliferation and cell survival. PAK4 is activated by various effectors including growth factor receptors or active CDC42 and RAC1. PAK4 phosphorylates the protein phosphatase SSH1, LIMK1, integrin beta5/ITGB5, ARHGEF2, and BCL2. PAK4 also activates RHOA, phosphorylates the antagonist of cell death BAD, inhibits apoptosis by preventing caspase-8 binding to death domain receptors, and controls CDKN1A levels via RAN phosphorylation.
