背景信息 The protein named low-density lipoprotein receptor related protein 2, or LRP-2, or Glycoprotein 330 (gp330) or Megalin and encoded by the human gene named LRP2 is a membrane protein produced in the kidney, small intestine, lung and absorptive epithelial tissues that works with another protein named cubilin to mediate HDL endocytosis in the liver, however LRP2 also has a number of other contacts, and plays an important role in calcium mediated signaling as well. LRP2 binds plasminogen, extracellular matrix components, plasminogen activator-plasminogen activator inhibitor type I complex, apolipoprotein E-enriched beta-VLDL, lipoprotein lipase, lactoferrin, CLU/clusterin and calcium. LRP2 also forms a multimeric complex together with a receptor-associated protein (RAP). LRP2 binds to ankyrin-repeat family A protein 2 (ANKRA2), and LRP2 interacts with LRP2BP and DAB2 as well. Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance.
