背景信息	The protein named Proto-oncogene Wnt-3, or alternatively Proto-oncogene Int-4 homolog, and encoded by the human gene WNT3 or INT4 is a extracellular secreted protein that is the ligand for the fizzled family of transmembrane receptors. WNT3 and its relative WNT3a play distinct roles in cell-cell signaling during morphogenesis and the development, particularly during neural tube development. Homozygous knockouts of WNT3 are lethal and embryos die at day 10.5, demonstrating the vital importance of WNT3 during development. Incorrect activation of WNT3 or its related members is thought to play a critical role in many cancers, including rectal, breast, lung and gastric cancers. Moreover WNT3 plays an important role in adhesion mediated drug resistance of many cancer cells as well, thus WNT3 signaling pathway may be a promising target for anti-cancer resistance therapies. EMD-Millipore’s Anti-WNT3 rabbit polyclonal Antibody has been tested in western blots on SGC7001 cell extracts.
