背景信息	HOXD13, also named as HOX4I, belongs to the Abd-B homeobox family. HOXD13 is a sequence-specific transcription factor which is part of a developmental regulatory system that provides cells with specific positional identities on the anterior-posterior axis. Mutations in HOXD13 have been associated with synpolydactyly (SPD), brachydactyly type D (BDD), syndactyly type 5brachydactyly-syndactyly syndrome (BDSD) or brachydactyly type E (BDE).
