应用说明 ELISA: 0.5 μg/mL this dilution will allow detection (in direct ELISA) of
0.2-0.4 ng/well when rat IL-1(is used to coat the plate.
Western blot: 0.1-0.2 μg/mL, this dilution should offer detection limit of 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Neutralization: to yield ½ maximal inhibition (ND50) of the biological activity of rat IL-1beta (0.2 ng/mL), a concentration of 0.09-0.14 μg/mL of antibody is required.

Entrez基因汇总 The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. This cytokine is produced by activated macrophages as a proprotein, which is proteolytically processed to its active form by caspase 1 (CASP1/ICE). This cytokine is an important mediator of the inflammatory response, and is involved in a variety of cellular activities, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. The induction of cyclooxygenase-2 (PTGS2/COX2) by this cytokine in the central nervous system (CNS) is found to contribute to inflammatory pain hypersensitivity.
