背景信息	Histone methylation is involved in many key epigenetic phenomena, including maintaining the boundaries between heterochromatin and euchromatin. Histone methylation of lysines is generally associated with transcriptional repression, however, some modifications, such as methylation of Lys4 of histone H3, are associated with transcriptional activation. Acetyl Lys5 of histone H2B has been identified in several systems, while the role of methylation of Lys5 of Histone 2B is unknown.
