    背景信息 AGO4 (Argonaute 4), also known as EIF2C4 is involved in regulation of gene silencing via small RNA’s such as siRNA and miRNA. This protein contains both a PAZ and a PIWI domain characteristic of Argonaute family of proteins. Functionally Ago4 is the catalytic component of the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC). As part of this multi-protein complex, Ago4 interacts with miRNAs to help mediate translational repression of targeted messages.
