背景信息 Bcl-2/adenovirus E1B 19 kDa interacting protein 2-like (BNIPL-2; BNIPL) is a ubiquitous protein which has over 70 % homology to the BNIP-2 protein. BNIPL-2 induces apoptosis by interaction with Bcl-2 and Cdc42GAP proteins via its BCH domain. Through this association, BNIPL-2 promotes disruption of cell membranes and DNA fragmentation processes in cells undergoing stress such as viral invasion.
