背景信息 ARID1B (AT rich interactive domain 1B), also known as BAF250B, p250R and hOsa2, is a nuclear protein and a member of the SWI/SNF-A chromatin-remodeling complex. It is involved in repression of select genes by chromatin remodeling and transcriptional activation. It non-specifically binds DNA and alters DNA nucleosome topology. The cause of mental retardation autosomal dominant type 12 (MRD12) are defects in ARID1B.
