背景信息	CD8, a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, is expressed on the majority of thymocytes, a subset of mature T lymphocytes, and NK cells (almost exclusively CD8a homodimers). CD8a acts as a co-receptor with MHC class I-restricted T cell receptors, and through its association with protein tyrosine kinase p56Ick, modulates antigen recognition and T cell activation as well as thymic development.
