背景信息 Kinesin-like protein KIF3B (KIF3B) tethers chromosomes to the spindle pole and is involved in chromosomal movement. It forms a heterotrimeric protein with KIF3A and kinesin-like associated protein (KAP3). Both KIF3A and KIF3B contain an N-terminal globular motor domain, a potential neck coiled-coil region, a highly charged hinge region, a coiled-coil stalk region, and a C-terminal tail (The C-terminus region binds to KAP3). KIF3B interacts directly with certain proteins, such as CLC-5, IFT20, and the SMC3 subunit of the cohesion complex.
