背景信息	The protein named CDK-activating kinase assembly factor MAT1 (ménage a trois1), MNAT1 or alternatively CDK7/cyclin-H assembly factor, Cyclin-G1-interacting protein, Ménage a trios, RING finger protein 66, RING finger protein MAT1, p35 or p36 and encoded by the human gene named MNAT1/CAP35/MAT1/RNF66 functions as an assembly/targeting factor of CAK (cyclin-dependent kinase activating kinase). MNAT1 along with cyclin H and CDK7 form CAK. This complex activates several cyclin associated kinases and can also associate with TFIIH to activate transcription by RNA polymerase II. MNAT1 is localized to the nucleus and expressed in many tissues with the highest levels being in the colon and testis. MNAT1 is known to interact with several proteins including MTA1, P53, Estrogen receptor alpha, MCM7 and POU2F1. EMD-Millipore’s Anti-MNAT1 rabbit polyclonal antibody has been tested in western blot on HeLa cell extracts.
