背景信息 SET and MYND domain-containing protein 3 (SMYD3), also known as Zinc finger MYND domain-containing protein 1 (ZMYND1), is a histone methyltransferase that methylates histone H3 at Lys4 leading to dimethylation and trimethylation. Its activity is strongly stimulated by HSPCA. SMYD3 also acts as a member of an RNA polymerase complex and plays an important role in transcriptional activation.
