    背景信息 The GTP-binding protein REM 2 (REM2) is a member of the RGK subfamily of Ras-like GTPases. REM2 is highly expressed in the brain and may have multiple related effects on neural function. Previous studies have demonstrated that REM2 may play a role in the development of both GABAergic and glutamatergic synapses. It has also been reported that REM2 is required specifically for the maturation of dendritic spines and may affect calcium homeostasis through inhibition of voltage-gated Ca2+ channels.
