    背景信息 Nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, also known as nAChRs, belong to a family of proteins called ligand gated ion channels and are widely expressed throughout the nervous system. nAChRs are made up of 5 subunits (two α and three β). Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptor α5 has an αx αy β combination. In the CNS, the α5 subunit is widely expressed in the CA1 area of the hippocampus which affects learning, memory, attention, anxiety, and potentially drug seeking behaviors.
