背景信息 TACC2, also known as transforming acidic coiled-coil-containing protein 2, belongs to the transforming acidic coiled-coil-containing (TACC) protein family. This group of proteins is defined by its highly conserved coiled-coil domain. This domain is necessary for the assignment of the centrosome-spindle apparatus during cell cycling. There are three proteins belonging to the TACC family; TACC1, TACC2, and TACC3. TACC2 has been reported as playing a necessary role in cultured cell microtubule stabilization. It has also been shown that the binding of TACC2 by T antigen can cause chromosomal instability and mitotic defects (Tei, 2009).
