    背景信息 Pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase (PDK) is a mitochondrial enzyme important in metabolism that controls the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex and links glycolysis to the citric acid cycle. PDK is thought to regulate all aerobic oxidation of carbohydrates. Interestingly, inhibition of PDK disrupts glycolysis and increases mitochondrial respiration which causes a decrease in colorectal cancer cell proliferation, without effecting non-cancerous cells.
