HPV-6 & -II positive biopsies gave negative results. On western blots CamVir-1 detects a 56 kDa band corresponding to the L1 protein as well as a 41 kDa non-specific band that is observed in a wide range of uninfected mammalian cells. This non-specific 41 kDa protein is absent by immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence or immunoperoxidase.
