背景信息 Plk3 is an NF-κB-regulated kinase that mediates p53-dependent and -independent pro-apoptotic responses to elevated levels of superoxide. It acts as a key regulator of the cell cycle through signaling networks that pertain to centrosome maturation and separation, mitotic entry, chromosome segregation, mitotic exit, and cytokinesis to name a few of several related cellular functions. It serves as an essential component in the hypoxia signaling pathway, demonstrates tumor-suppressing activity, and is suggested to play a role in angiogenesis in PLK3-null mice.
