Chromolith® RP-8 endcapped column is based on a high-purity silica to reduce the negative effects of trace metals. It is chemically modified with n-alkyl chains with a high ligand density and then fully endcapped in order to reduce the effect of unmodified silanol groups. In comparison to a Chromolith® RP-18 endcapped column, a Chromolith® RP-8 endcapped column offers a better retention for hydrophobic compounds.
